Hello! I’m Emily —an award-winning, published, certified birth photographer, videographer, and certified birth and postpartum doula based in Orlando, Florida.
About Me :)
My husband and I live on a small urban homestead in Mount Dora, Florida, where we have a beautiful vegetable garden, and raise a little flock of chickens. We moved to Central Florida from Oregon in the fall of 2023 to be closer to family and, hopefully soon, start one of our own.
I've been a birth photographer and doula for six years and have documented over a hundred births in three states. Birth work isn't just a job to me; it's a calling. I'm on a mission to shift the narrative around birth, celebrating it as the beautiful and transformative experience it truly is. I believe in the power of these images to inspire and empower, encouraging others to embrace the strength and beauty within their bodies and experiences.
Who I am
I would consider myself a bit of a goofball (my Husband would, too). I try not to take life too seriously - we are all here to experience all that this world has to offer us, to grow, and to learn as much as we can. I want to feeeel it all! The good, the bad, and everything in between. I am deeply in tune with my and others’ emotions (yes, I will probably cry at your birth) I care deeply for people, my community, and the earth. I’m a mix of Enneagram Type 2 (The Helper) & 6 (The Loyalist) and an INFP-T (Mediator)
I prefer to have genuine one-on-one connections versus being in large groups, although I do enjoy a good old-fashioned high-energy family game night.

Why I’m Here
So, it’s kind of a funny story but, birth work found me sitting alone at a bar at a crossroads in my career in social work when I was just 21 years old. When an amazing doula, pregnant with her second baby came up to me (don’t worry, she wasn’t drinking - she was the DD), talked to me for hours, and later invited me to attend her birth. I had always been interested in birth work but didn’t know how I could fit into this world. When I attended her birth as her doula, I brought along my camera and everything fell into place.
It has been 7 years since that day in that dive bar, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else in life. I found a deep passion for documenting the art that is birth and supporting women and their families as they cross this threshold into a new chapter of their lives.
