KATY, BIRTH PHOTO + VIDEO CLIENT

“I'd highly, highly recommend Emily to shoot any part of your pregnancy, birth, and/or postpartum journey. It's such a gift to have those photos and videos to look back at but equally lovely to have worked with a person as awesome as Emily. Worth every penny, 1 million percent!’’

RHIANNON, BIRTH PHOTO CLIENT

“She captures the raw beauty and triumph of birth. I have pictures from my whole experience being pregnant and afterwards once having my baby and I will cherish those photos forever. Truly talented artist, I’m so glad she was able to be apart of my experience.”

Your Birth Story in Motion

While photography freezes your story in time, videography lets you truly relive them. Imagine hearing your baby’s first cry, the gentle words of support from your partner, and the pure joy in the room as your baby is born.

Birth videography preserves the emotions, sounds, and movements that make your story so meaningful. It’s more than just a memory—it’s a way to relive those precious moments, again and again.

I’m here to help you capture these unforgettable experiences. Ready to make your birth story come to life?

The Process

  • Step 1: Consultation & Booking

We’ll start with a quick virtual meeting to discuss your birth plans and goals with birth photo/videography. This allows us to connect and ensure we’re a great fit. I hold your due date for two days after our call, and once you’re ready to move forward, you can easily accept your quote, sign the contract and pay the retainer.

  • Step 2: In-person Meeting & On-Call

Around 35 weeks, we’ll have an in-person meeting (usually in your home) to go over the details, like when to call me, and any specific moments you want or don’t want to be documented. At 36 weeks, I’m officially on call 24/7, ready to be at your birth within two hours.

  • Step 3: Birth & Gallery Delivery

When labor starts, let me know, and we’ll decide the best time for me to arrive during active labor. If you are scheduled for a cesarean, I will arrive at the hospital with you. I’ll document your journey and stay for two hours after the birth. You’ll get a sneak peek within 48 hours, and your full gallery will be delivered within four weeks.

FAQs

What can I expect from you as my birth photographer?

As your birth photographer, I’ll be on-call starting at 36 weeks, ready to arrive when labor starts to progress. I work discreetly and respectfully, capturing genuine moments while honoring your space and preferences. My goal is to blend into your birth team, documenting each significant moment with care.

What if my birth plan changes unexpectedly?

Birth is unpredictable, and I’m prepared for anything. Whether there’s a change in location, birthing method, or timing, I’m flexible and ready to adapt. My goal is to document your story as authentically as possible, however it unfolds.

Will my privacy be respected before, during, and after my birth?

Absolutely. I know how personal birth is, and respecting your comfort and privacy is my top priority. Before your due date, we’ll discuss any specific boundaries or preferences you have. I’m here to create images that honor your experience in a way that feels comfortable to you and your family.

How do I know if you’re the right birth photographer for me?

Choosing the right birth photographer is about finding someone who understands your vision and values your comfort. I encourage you to explore my portfolio and schedule a consultation so we can talk about your hopes for your birth story.

How does pricing work for birth photography?

My birth photography collections are designed to beautifully tell the story of your baby’s arrival. Each package includes my on-call availability, coverage of active labor and birth, and a gallery of professionally edited images that capture the emotion and details of your day. Every collection can be fully customized and personalized with meaningful add-ons like film, maternity, Fresh 48, or newborn sessions. I’d love to chat and help you create the experience that feels just right for you.

How involved will you be during my birth?

My role is to document the experience as naturally as possible. I’m there to quietly capture each moment without interrupting the flow of your birth team or your experience. My approach is respectful and unobtrusive, allowing you to be fully present while I focus on preserving these memories.
