Your baby is almost here.

This is how you hold onto that day they are born forever.

You deserve more than just a memory.

There is a version of your birth story that lives only in your memory. And then there is the version that exists in a gallery you will open on your child's birthday every single year for the rest of your life. My job is to make sure the second version exists. That is the difference between having someone document your birth and having someone make art out of it. I have been attending births for seven years. I have been to close to 200 birth spaces — hospital rooms and living rooms, birth centers and bathtubs, scheduled cesareans and surprise car births.

I have seen (almost) every kind of birth there is.

You don't have to direct me. You don't have to think about me at all. You just get to be in your birth — completely, fully, without distraction — and I take care of the rest.

Here's everything that happens when you book with me.

Here is what your experience actually looks like:

Before your birth: A free consultation call where we actually talk about your birth vision, your fears, your birth team, what you want captured, and what you don't.

An in-person meeting around 35 weeks, usually at your home, where we go over everything in detail, and you can ask me anything. By the time I walk into your birth room, you know me.

From 36 weeks, I am on call for you. Day, night, weekend, holiday. You call, and I’ll be there within two hours.

At your birth: I arrive during active labor and stay for at least two hours after your baby is born. I am there for the hard parts and the holy parts and everything in between. I move through your space without making you feel watched — you will forget I am there until you need me to be.

After your birth: A sneak peek in your inbox within 24 hours. Because you are going to want to see it fast, and you deserve that.

Your full gallery of professionally edited images will be delivered within four weeks. Every image is color-corrected, carefully edited, and worth keeping. Most births result in 75-150 final images.

A print release that is yours to keep forever. Print them, frame them, pass them down.

A photograph shows you what happened.

A film puts you back in the room.

There are things about your birth that a photo will never be able to give you back. The sound of the room. The voices. The cry that changed everything. The feeling of it.

A birth film gives you all of that. And what I make is not just footage set to music. It is a cinematic film built around the story of your birth.

I offer both a short highlight film and a full-length birth film. Most families add film to their photography package, and every single one of them says the same thing — the film is what makes them cry the hardest.

Because you can look at a photo and remember. But when you press play on your birth film, you are back there. Completely. Every time.

Let's talk about the things you might be thinking.

"I'm not photogenic."

I have photographed hundreds of people at their most raw, most exhausted, most unfiltered. Not one of them has looked at their gallery and said they looked bad. You know why? Because there is nothing more powerful or more beautiful than a person doing exactly what you are about to do. My job is not to make you look a certain way. It is to show you exactly who you were in that room. I promise you, she is someone you are going to be proud of.

"I don't want a stranger in my birth room."

Neither would I! Before I ever set foot in your birth space, we will have talked on the phone, met in person, and gone over everything together.

My clients don't open the door to a stranger on their birth-day. They open it to someone they already trust.

What about a backup photographer? In the extremely rare event that I cannot make it to your birth, I do have a trusted network of fellow birth photographers I can call on. And while I cannot promise you will know them the way you know me, I can promise they are people I trust completely with your story.

"My partner isn't convinced."

Ask them to talk to me. Seriously. Book a consultation call and bring them. I have yet to have a partner leave that call unconvinced. And the families who skip birth photography? They say the same thing every time. I wish we had done it. Every. Single. Time.

"I can't afford it right now."

I get it. You have a crib to buy, a car seat, a stroller, and probably four hundred other things on a list that keeps getting longer. Birth is expensive before you even get to the photography. I hear that. And I never want the investment to be the reason someone misses out on having their birth documented.

Payment plans are available for every single package I offer. We split it up, we make it work, and you get to stop thinking about it and just focus on getting ready for your baby. The photos and films last forever. The payments don't. Let's figure out something that works for you.

I believe birth is the most honest thing that exists. There is no performance in a birth room. No version of yourself you are trying to be. Just you, doing something extraordinary, surrounded by people who love you.

I believe those moments deserve more than a memory.

Memory is imperfect, and it fades faster than you expect.

I believe you should be able to go back to that day whenever you need to. On the hard days when you have forgotten how strong you are. On your child's birthday every year.

When they are grown and want to know their birth story.

That is what I make. That is why I do this.

“If you're even slightly on the fence, this is your sign. Her photography is stunning, but her film work is on another level. She has an incredible instinct for knowing exactly which moments to film, and she captures them in a way that lets you truly relive your birth again and again, not just visually, but emotionally.”

— SAVANNAH, BIRTH PHOTO, VIDEO & DOULA CLIENT

“She captures the raw beauty and triumph of birth. I have pictures from my whole experience being pregnant and afterwards once having my baby and I will cherish those photos forever. Truly talented artist, I’m so glad she was able to be apart of my experience.”

— RHIANNON, BIRTH PHOTO CLIENT

Questions? I've got answers.

  • As soon as possible — seriously. I hold a very limited number of births each month and due dates fill up fast, especially in spring and fall. I recommend reaching out at least 8-12 weeks before your due date, but if you're further along than that, still reach out. I will always do my best to make it work.

  • I attend births within a 100-mile radius of Mount Dora, Florida — including Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, Ocala, Lakeland, and all surrounding areas. Births over 75 miles are subject to a travel fee. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask.

  • It happens! I am on call 24/7 from 36 weeks and can be at your birth within two hours. If things move faster than expected I will get there as fast as I possibly can. We also talk through your birth history and any signs of a fast labor at our 35-week meeting so we can come up with a plan together before it ever comes to that.

  • First — your birth is just as powerful and just as worth documenting no matter how your baby arrives. C-sections are something I have a lot of experience with. I have attended over 50 cesareans and I am fully comfortable and trained in sterile field protocol.

Florida hospitals, though, most do not allow two support people in the OR, which means getting me back there is not always guaranteed. My biggest recommendation is to talk to your provider ahead of time and specifically ask if your birth photographer can be present. It never hurts to ask — and plenty of my clients have made it happen.

If I am not able to go back with you, here is what happens instead. I meet you at the hospital and document everything leading up to your surgery. I then hand my camera to your partner with a quick crash course, and they document as much as they can from inside the OR. Your partner becomes a budding photographer and videographer for the day, and honestly, something is always better than nothing. I edit every image and video they capture, so your gallery still tells your full story.

After your c-section, I meet you in recovery and pick right back up documenting from there.

One more thing worth noting — AdventHealth Celebration does have a viewing room that may be available upon request. If you are delivering there, it is absolutely worth asking about.

  • That is literally what I signed up for. When I say I am on call 24/7, I mean it. Day, night, weekend, holiday, 2 am on Christmas — you call, I come. No exceptions!

  • Yes. In the event that I am already at a birth when you go into labor — which has happened exactly once in seven years — I have a trusted network of fellow birth photographers I can call on.

That one time? Three babies decided to arrive in the same 24 hours. I sent an incredible photographer who took beautiful care of my clients.

I won't pretend a backup will know you the way I know you. But I will never leave you without someone wonderful in that room. And in seven years, it has only come to that once. You are booking me, and I show up. That is my promise to you.

I do this because I love it. These are just a bonus.

Partnership with Mother of Thousands Midwifery

A very special gift for Mother of Thousands Midwifery families

I am so proud to partner with Nicolle Maldonado Arendt of Mother of Thousands Midwifery to offer something truly special — complimentary birth photography for her home birth clients, at no cost to them.

Nicolle and I found each other the way the best partnerships do — through a shared belief in what birth can be. She builds birth spaces that feel safe, powerful, and full of love. I show up to document exactly what she creates. Together we make sure that the families she serves not only have an extraordinary birth experience, but have something to hold onto from it forever.

If you are a Mother of Thousands Midwifery client and did not know this gift was available to you, now you do. Reach out, and let's talk about getting your birth documented at no cost to you.

If you are not yet a Mother of Thousands client but are planning a home birth in Central Florida, I cannot recommend Nicolle highly enough. You can find her at Mother of Thousands Midwifery.
