Two Minutes Too Late

Sometimes birth moves faster than feet can carry us. By the time I rushed through the hospital doors, Henry had already made his dramatic entrance into the world, leaving me just two minutes shy of his powerful birth story.

Birth photography is about honesty, about documenting real moments. Today, that meant arriving to find a baby whose appearance told the story I missed - wearing temporary purple badges of how quickly he decided to meet his family.

These are the humbling moments in birth photography. When babies remind us they write their own stories, choose their own timing, make their own dramatic entrances. Henry didn't wait for perfect lighting or the perfect angle. He simply came, swift and determined, teaching us all that babies arrive precisely when they mean to.
