They were just born. Don't blink.

Wait, What Even Is a Fresh 48?
It is exactly what it sounds like. Within the first 48 hours of your baby's life, while you are still in the hospital, or snuggling at home, still in that bubble, still completely overwhelmed in the best possible way, I come in and document all of it.
Not posed. Not staged. Not a single prop in sight. Just you, your baby, and the most surreal first hours of your life together. The first time you count their fingers. The way your partner looks at them when they think nobody is watching. The tiny details that are already changing faster than you can process — the wrinkles, the squished little face, the hands that are somehow both impossibly small and the most perfect thing you have ever seen.
Those details are gone faster than anyone warns you.
A Fresh 48 session makes sure you have them forever.
The Tiny Things
Here is what nobody tells you about newborns. They do not stay newborns for long.
The scrunchy little nose. The way they curl their knees up to their chest like they are still trying to fit back where they came from. The fingernails that somehow already need cutting. The lips. The eyelashes. The weight of them in your arms when they are still so new they do not know which way is up.
By week two they have already changed. By month two you are looking at a completely different baby. A Fresh 48 or newborn session freezes time right at the beginning — when everything is still brand new and completely unbelievable — and gives you something to hold onto when it all starts moving too fast.
Okay But What About Newborn Sessions?
Fresh 48, not your thing? Or maybe you want both? Newborn sessions happen in your home, typically in the first two to six weeks of life — which, honestly, is my favorite place to photograph a new family anyway.
Your home is where the real stuff happens. The feeding pillow is on the couch. The bassinet is next to your bed. The exhaustion and the joy living on the same face at the same time. That is the stuff I am there for — not a sterile studio with props and wraps, but your actual life, right at the very start of this whole new chapter.
Lifestyle and documentary all the way. Nothing forced. Nothing fake. Just real.
The best time to book was yesterday. The second-best time is right now.
Fresh 48 sessions need to be booked before your due date, so I am ready to come to you the moment that baby arrives. Newborn sessions book up fast, too, especially in those first two weeks when everyone wants in. The easiest thing you can do right now, while you are still thinking about it, is reach out and get on the calendar.
Future you — the one holding a brand new baby at 3 am — will be very glad you did.
Birth was chapter one.
Here's chapter two.
If you already have birth photos with me, a Fresh 48 or newborn session is the next chapter of the same story.
The birth. The first hours. The first days at home. Together, they are a complete portrait of how your family began — from the time you met your baby to the first morning you all woke up together under the same roof. The kind of thing you pull out on their eighteenth birthday and cannot believe how fast it all went.
Ask about bundling with birth or maternity. Let's tell your whole story.
They are only this little once.
And it goes faster than you think.
