Family Maternity Session in Eustis, FL
Sometimes, Mother Nature has her own plans for a photo session. The forecast promised sunshine, but Florida had different ideas the afternoon the Nave family arrived in Eustis.
As the first drops fell, I watched something beautiful unfold.
Instead of disappointment, there was laughter. Alexandra and Jonathan shared a knowing look - the kind that comes from years of parenting together, of learning to embrace the unexpected. Their three children's eyes lit up at the prospect of puddles and raindrops.
Their eldest moved with the confidence of a child who had welcomed siblings before, already practicing her big sister role with graceful authority. The middle child bounced between moments of pure joy and quiet contemplation, processing what another sibling might mean. And the youngest? Well, they were still wrapping their mind around the idea of no longer being the baby of the family.
Alexandra stood in the fading light, her cream dress catching the breeze, while Jonathan watched their children with knowing eyes. Fourth-time parents have a different kind of peace about them - a beautiful blend of experience and excitement. They've danced this dance before, yet each new addition brings its own rhythm.
The session unfolded naturally, as the best ones do. The children took turns feeling mama’s belly move, their eyes widening with each kick and roll. They shared secrets with their unborn sibling through Alexandra's belly, promises of adventures to come, and games they would teach.
Between the posed moments, real life happened. A spontaneous game of tag. An impromptu dance party in the field. Quiet moments when the whole family piled together, hands intertwined over Alexandra's growing bump. These are the moments I live to capture - the raw, unscripted pieces of a family's story.
As the sun hid behind the clouds, I watched this family of almost six move together with practiced ease. They didn't know then that baby Joshua would take them on quite the journey in a few weeks' time. But that evening, in a golden field in Eustis, they were simply together, celebrating the growing love that makes a family expand.
To the Nave family - thank you for letting me witness this chapter of your story. Your joy, your chaos, your love - it's all perfectly, beautifully yours.
For families looking to document their own journey of growth, I'm currently booking maternity sessions for 2025 in Central Florida. Let's capture your story together.
