MATERNITY AND FRESH 48/NEWBORN
The chapters on either side of the birth.
Before, you are waiting for a person you have not met yet. After, they are here. I photograph the space around both.
Maternity
Most maternity sessions happen in the last month of pregnancy and last about 60 minutes. There’s no pressure to make it feel like a traditional “maternity” photoshoot.
Sometimes we stay at home. You make tea, fold tiny baby clothes, rest on the couch, water your plants, or sit in the place where you’ve spent so much of this waiting season. Your home doesn’t need to be perfect. Those everyday details often become the ones that mean the most.
Other times, we'll head outside to a trail, a field, or one of Central Florida's beautiful natural spaces. Wherever we are, the goal is the same: to create photographs that feel honest, timeless, and distinctly yours.
I'll guide you throughout the session, so you never have to wonder what to do. Some moments are gently directed. Others simply unfold on their own. The result is a collection of images that feels effortless and natural while still carrying an editorial feel.
These sessions are about more than your pregnancy. They're about this season of becoming. The anticipation. The home you're preparing. The person you are right before everything changes.
And when your baby arrives, these photographs become the opening chapter of your birth story.
Fresh 48
The first two days after birth exist in their own little world.
A Fresh 48 session takes place where your baby is born, whether that's a hospital, birth center, or home. This is the beginning of your story outside the womb. The first introductions. The sleepy moments between visitors. The details of a baby who is still so new.
I document this time as it happens. The way you look at each other. The hands that reach for your baby. The room where your first memories were made. The moments that seem impossible to forget, until time quietly carries them away.
No recreating. No staging. Just the beginning, exactly as it was.
Newborn
Newborn sessions take place in your home during those first few weeks after birth. By then, life has settled into a new rhythm. Your baby has found their place in your arms, and your home has begun to feel different.
Rather than creating a styled version of newborn life, I photograph what is already there. The morning light through the windows. The nursery you prepared. The way your baby curls into your chest. The quiet routines that already belong to your family.
Your home does not need to be perfect. Your baby does not need to perform. I'll gently guide you when needed, then step back and let the moments unfold.
These images become a record of the very beginning. Not only what your baby looked like, but what it felt like to welcome them home.
